Recently Reported Issues

Please find below the most recent issues reported via FixMyStreet.

  • Fulnetby Lane, Snelland outside White House Farm & The Hollies, 6th January
The two drains on the White House Farm side of the road are blocked and the road was flooded 120+mm. the road surface level is higher at the junction area with Station Road than the area in question so there is no natural drainage. The result is that part of our garden near the road is flooded as is aour outhouse. The two drains are connected to the Station Road drain, which is also blocked and overflowing. The drain frequently blocks and overflows when there is heavy rain. I have reported this previously. Behind the drain at the entrance to White House Farm is an inspection chamber, which is connected to the road drain. I believe that there is a drain from our barn connected to this chamber and may be the cause of our outhouse and part of the garden flooding. There is also an inspection chamber, connected to the uppermost road drain, where I believe there is also a blockage. I have cleared the tops of these road drains and debris from the kerbside, to no avail. I have swept a lot of water away from Fulnetby Lane but there is still about 50% of standing water. I have done this repeatedly over the past few years.

  • Ryland road between no 8 and no 12, 6th January
During moderate rainfall the side of the road becomes flooded. Rain does not flow away from the drain outside no 8, despite there being no obvious blockage of the drain cover. The water does . run away through the next drain outside no 12. This leads to a lengthy stretch of roadside area becoming a river. As a result numerous pedestrians are soaked by passing traffic. This has been a problem for a long period of time.
